On Thursday and Friday of May 28 & 29th, 2009, the roofers arrived with a tremendous load of roofing equipment, covering much of 48 Harrison Ave, Wakefield, MA 01880. They started at 7:30am and worked two full days. The roofers were sure footed, strong and totally efficient – no fooling around, no goofing off, dirty, hard, dangerous work. I was amazed at their persistence and skill.
I have a large, seven room house, sub porch and detached garage. They also had to remove two layers of roofing, and they cleaned my property of all trash.
In 1949, sixty years ago, my family moved from Melrose to Wakefield. My brother, Bill O’Brien, hired Gus Burke, Tom’s great grandfather to add a roof on the present roof, (a roof on a roof) as they say.
We had always rented and this was our first home. The house was beautiful, but Bill felt we needed a new roof. Well, this was Bill’s best investment for the house, and Bill chose the right company for the job – BURKE ROOFERS. When Gus finished this job, the neighbors saw the difference on our home and soon we all had new roofs.
I am pleased to see that tom has followed the totally professional workmanship of his great grandfather, Gus Burke, a “roofer”
My roof is now good looking and matches the color of my house. It looks like a beautiful pearl. I can hardly wait to see it fit in so perfectly with the four seasons.
