Examine Your Roof
Now that the weather is warming up, assessing the condition of your roof is made easy. Winters in New England can often do damage to a roof. If you are comfortable using a ladder, get a close-up look at the condition of your roof. When you are on your roof, you might as well clean it too. Over time, roofs are prone to accumulating leaves, branches and other debris. This can eventually weigh down your roof if it is just left there. If you do not feel comfortable about getting on a ladder or on your roof, do not feel obligated to. Just have a professional roofer do it for you.
Consider Updating Your Roof
Summer is considered the most ideal time to have a roof updated. If your roof has not been updated in roughly 15 years or longer, it may be time. Do you have outdated shingles? Your gutter works in tandem with your roof. If you have not checked in on your gutter in a few months, now is the time to do so. Gutters can easily get clogged with leaves during the spring season. Always make sure your gutter is intact and is not backed-up.
